Three JKAS Officers Among Eight Officials Transferred by Jammu Kashmir Govt

SRINAGAR 12 Jun : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of eight officers in the Mining Department with immediate effect to ensure administrative efficiency and the smooth functioning of the department.

According to Government Order No. 33-JK(MNG) of 2026 dated June 10, Chander Kant Bhagat, JKAS, who was awaiting orders in the administrative department, has been posted as District Mineral Officer (DMO), Kishtwar, and will additionally hold charge of DMO Doda until further orders. Sunil Kumar, JKAS, has been posted as DMO Ramban and given additional charge of DMO Udhampur.

Naveed Hussain Badroo, JKAS, has been appointed DMO Kupwara. Kulwant Singh, Geologist Grade-I, has been transferred from Samba to the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Jammu, while Rakesh Kumar, Driller, has been shifted from Ramban to the Senior Drilling Engineer Office, Jammu.

Virinder Dev, I/C Geologist Grade-II, has been transferred from Kishtwar to Samba as DMO. Mumtaz Ahmad Shah, JE Chemical, has been moved from Kupwara to the CMT Laboratory, Kashmir, while Sunil Kumar, I/C Geologist Grade-II, has been transferred from Doda to the Joint Director Office, Jammu.
