Traffic restored on Jammu-Srinagar National highway

The traffic movement on 247km-long Jammu-Srinagar National highway was restored on Saturday after remaining blocked from Friday late night, Officials said.

Earlier, on Friday night J&K Traffic Police informed, Jammu Srinagar NHW blocked due to shooting stones/mudslide at Mehar-Cafeteria, Ramban. People are advised not to travel till clearance.

Traffic officials said, “Passenger traffic plying both side on NH-44. Commuters are advised to keep lane discipline and co-operate plz.”

The highway is the only all-weather surface link that connects Kashmir with other parts of the country.
