Ganderbal, April 29: Another body was recovered from the River Sindh, escalating the death toll to five following a tragic accident involving a Tavera vehicle at Gagangeer Hung area of Sonamarg in central Kashmir’s Kashmir’s district Ganderbal . The vehicle, which was carrying eight tourists, met with a grave accident yesterday, leading to multiple casualties and two survivors who were critically injured and subsequently hospitalized.

Authorities had initially retrieved four bodies from the scene, but operations had to be halted due to adverse weather conditions and darkness, leaving two people unaccounted for. The search resumed early this morning under the coordinated efforts of the local police team from Gund and the SDRF Gund Component.

After extensive search and rescue operations near Kullan, the team successfully recovered another body, which has been moved to PHC Kullan. The community remains in mourning as the authorities continue their efforts to locate the remaining missing person.
