Srinagar, April 26, 2025 , K Pen — In the wake of the tragic incident at Baisaran, Pahalgam, a joint meeting of all major Travel and Tourism Associations was convened today in the office chambers of the Director Tourism, Kashmir. The meeting expressed deep sorrow, anguish, and solidarity with the victims and their families.
The entire travel and tourism fraternity unequivocally condemned the unfortunate event and called for urgent and compassionate measures to support those affected.
During the session, the associations strongly urged the Tourism Department to issue an immediate directive to all hotels, houseboat owners, and the Gulmarg Gondola Cable Car Corporation, mandating a 100% refund for tourists impacted by the incident.
This step, they emphasized, is essential to uphold justice, provide relief, and restore confidence among travelers.
