Kolkata | July 10, 2025: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reaffirmed Jammu & Kashmir’s commitment to expanding its cultural and economic engagements with West Bengal during his address at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) held in Kolkata. Speaking at the high-profile gathering of industry stakeholders, CM Abdullah emphasized the potential of such platforms in strengthening regional tourism linkages.

“In my address at TTF Kolkata, I shared that the event will serve as a powerful platform to explore new avenues of collaboration between Jammu & Kashmir and West Bengal. It offers an opportunity to deepen our cultural and economic ties and encourages all stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the tourism sector,” said CM Omar Abdullah.

The TTF event, one of the largest travel trade shows in India, witnessed active participation from multiple states and tourism boards. Jammu & Kashmir’s vibrant presence was marked by interactive exhibits, cultural showcases, and business networking sessions aimed at promoting the region’s rich heritage, natural beauty, and growing tourism infrastructure.

The Chief Minister highlighted the unique synergy between Kashmir and Bengal, two culturally rich regions that have historically shared people-to-people ties. He invited investors, tour operators, and cultural ambassadors from Bengal to explore tourism circuits in Kashmir and collaborate on innovative travel experiences.
