Srinagar, Aug 17 : Concern has intensified among residents of Khonmoh on the outskirts of Srinagar after a 57-year-old woman was injured in a bear attack on Monday morning, marking the second such incident in the area within less than 24 hours.

An official told news agency that the woman came under attack near her residence in Shah Mohalla, Khonmoh, during the morning hours.

The injured woman was identified as Fatima, 57, wife of Mohammad Maqbool Wani, a resident of Shah Mohalla, Khonmoh.

The latest incident comes a day after a man was injured in a separate bear attack in the Shiv Dakri area of Khonmoh, raising fresh concerns over the movement of the wild animal in residential areas.
