Two Sikh families donate over Rs one lakh to combat Covid-19 in Kargil

The two Sikh families in Kargil Monday donated over Rs one lakh to combat Coronavirus infection in the region.
Out of 1.15 Lakh Muslim population, there are only two Sikh families in Kargil.
On Monday, the Sikh Community headed by Sardar Karan Singh, who is also the President Gurudwara Civil Sanghat handed over the cheque of Rs 1,28,000 to District Development Commissioner Kargil Baseer-ul-Haq Chwdary.
Sardar Karan Singh, a teacher by profession told that it was small but pious contribution on part of Sikh community to combat Covid-19 disease in the region.
DDC Kargil Baseer-ul-Haq Chowdary said that he is very thankful to the Sikh Community for their generous contribution.
In Ladakh, there were 14 Covid-19 cases, out of which 9 have been discharged after recovering while 5 are still undergoing treatment. (KNT)
