Anantnag, Dec 21 : Authorities on Wednesday sealed two USG centres in Seer Hamdan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

An official told the news agency— that action was taken on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag after a video had gone viral on social media.

He said that a day before a patient had visited one among two centres for USG where doctors reported that the patient has appendix, however, on operating nothing was found.

The official said that soon after the incident attendants protested and their protesting video in which they were demanding strict action against the centre went viral.

He said that on Wednesday a team from the CMO office along with BMO concerned raided two USG centres and sealed them.

BMO Mattan Dr Mohammad Ashraf told KNO that two centres were sealed as the qualifications of the doctors present at centres wasn’t matching the required qualifications as per PCPNDT act.

He said that one doctor posted in Pulwama was seen in one centre and his details have been shared with higher ups for necessary action.

He said that at other centre, there was a Sonologist, however, he wasn’t a government and all details have been shared with administration fir necessary action
