Udhampur Administration presses specially designed autos for waste collection

District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla, in presence of President MC Dr. Jogeshwar Gupta, handed over three specially designed autos having separate chambers for wet and solid wastes and 50 dust bins for collection of Municipal waste .
Speaking on the occasion, DDC sought cooperation of the general public to work proactively towards ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of their home and surroundings to lead a healthy and hygienic life.
DDC also appreciated the efforts made by Municipality Council for solid waste management in the Udhampur town. He added that the District Administration will extend all required help to the Municipal Council for solid waste management.
The DDC appealed the general public to segregate municipal waste at the household level before it is collected by the MC.
