Following the incident, the police from Police Post Narbal and Police Station Magam, along with the SDRF Team, initiated a rescue operation and recovered the body from the river.

“The body was then taken to the Sub District Hospital for further treatment, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival,” the official mentioned.

The deceased was identified as Aurangzeb, son of Mohammad Sultan Quarshi, a resident of Rampora Saharanpora in Uttar Pradesh, currently residing in Chankipora Sopore.
