Urdu play ‘Jheel Bula Rahi Hai’ being performed at Tagore Hall.

Srinagar, Nov 28: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) will present an Urdu play ‘Jheel Bula Rahi Hai’ on Wednesday the 1st of Dec., at Tagore Hall here. 
 
The play is being produced by M/s Actors Creative Theatre (ACT), a not for profit organization.
 
Written by late Ali Mohammad Lone, the play has been directed by Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan.
 
The cast includes Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan (Father), Barkat Kaur Rattan (Mother), Zubair Farooq (Son), Syed Zenobia (Daughter) and Tahir Najar (Son-in-Law). The back stage team includes Gul Javaid, Abdul Ahad, Faisal Chakku, Idrees Bukhtiyar, Shahid Mushtaq, Syed Shayaan and Chowdhary Rabiya Shafiq.
 
Our story revolves around the lives of members of a fisherman. The family has lake Wular, the largest freshwater lake in the Asian continent, as its home. The play depicts the struggle of this family on several fronts.
 
The play will start at 2 pm, organizers said in a statement.
 
Creative director ACT Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan said that they are proudly presenting a full length play. “I hope the Kashmiri masses including youth will enjoy the play. Such full length plays are rarely presented in Kashmir. This will also be a good experience for the aspiring actors and newcomers,” he said
