Usman Majid inaugurtes Job Fair, Asks youth to adopt schemes under private sector

In Bandipora District of North Kashmir, MLA Bandipora Usman Majid here on today inaugurted one day Job Fair at Shere Kashmir Sports Stadium Bandipora in which a large number of educated unemployed youth participated.

The Mela was organized by the District Employment and Counseling Centre Bandipora under the National Career Service Project, where scores of stalls by public and private sectors were set up, providing awareness about their employment schemes to the unemployed.

On the occasion, MLA Bandipora Usman Majid inspected different stalls and enquired about their employment generating schemes and training programmes.

MLA Usman Majid stressed to provide full cooperation to unemployed interested in creating their own business ventures under these different schemes and programmes.

He also urged educated unemployed youth to set up their own business ventures to get maximum benefits under these schemes. MLA Usman Majid appreciated the concerned department for organising the event. He said that such programmes should be conducted in other areas of the District so that maximum​ youth could get necessary training, information and counselling regarding establishment of income generating units.

He said self employment is the only way to tackle the unemployment problem.He asked Bankers to speed up the disposal of pending cases so that unemployed youth could prevail timely benefits of different schemes.

Assistant Director, District Employment and Counseling Centre Budgam, Shabnam Arif said that the aim of the Mela was to provide a platform between the potential employee and the employer.
Through these programmes the unemployed not only get know-how of different employment generating schemes but also they get encouraged to create their own job avenues under these schemes to sustain their economy,” she said.

She stressed upon the educated unemployed youth to come forward and take the benefits from the Employement generating schemes devised by the Government from time to time.

The Job Fair witnessed massive participation as hundreds of students and those undergoing training attended the Job Fair.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai, Assistant Director District Employement and Counseling center Bandipora, Shabnam Arif Mir , Principal Polytechnic College, District Officers, Bankers, Corporators, and large number of educated youth participated in the Job Fair.
