“Even After Granting Permission , Students Prone to Virus”
A delegation of parents on Wednesday visited office at Press Enclave Srinagar and while talking to they said, “Why schools authorities are taking undertaking from us regarding our wards?” they questioned.
They demanded that the students should be vaccinated first and the schools will not need any permission. One of the parents namely Rafiq Ahmad added that even after the permission, the students are still vulnerable to Virus.
It may be recalled that vaccination drive in USA observed, ““Children 5 to 19 are responsible for most transmission and for the spread of infection to their parents’ age groups. Therefore, they showed, first vaccinating people ages 5 to 19, as well as those roughly in their parents’ age group (30 to 39), would protect “the remainder of the population” most effectively. Tens of thousands of infections and deaths would be prevented” the research mentioned.
It is pertinent to mention that the students of classes 9 to 12 attended school for the first time since March 9, 2020 on 1st of March 2021. Only those students were allowed to attend school who had been granted permission in writing by their parents.
Most private schools had sought “no objection certificates” from parents, absolving the school management of any blame in case of any health issue arising due to conduct of physical classes. Several schools had asked students to bring along medical fitness certificates on the first day of the school.
Due to the Corona Pandemic situation in the last academic session, these institutions had the opportunity to work for barely two weeks before the nationwide lockdown was implemented in March.
