Vehicle Checking Drive Conducted in Anantnag, Several Violators Challaned: MVD

Anantnag, Nov 13 (KNC): The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Anantnag, under the supervision of the ARTO Anantnag Mubashir Jaan, conducted an extensive vehicle checking drive across the district, during which several violators were challaned for various offences under the Motor Vehicles Act.

According to the Motor Vehicles Department as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the enforcement team also inspected three schools to ensure that school buses were in compliance with AIS-063 safety specifications.

The Department further observed that unauthorized halting of vehicles along roadsides was obstructing smooth traffic movement and posing risks to road safety. “Such vehicles were blacklisted to ensure safer and smoother road mobility,” an official statement said.

The Motor Vehicles Department reiterated its firm commitment to ensuring road safety, public convenience, and strict enforcement of transport regulations across Anantnag district. —(KNC)
