Among many public outreach programmes Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is one more step toward greater public interaction nationwide. Almost all government departments have instructions to participate in the program with their productive progress report card and road map ahead. The main focus of the program is to cover lower & marginal class of people at gross root level to ensure that the benefits of government schemes & initiatives reached to them. I, also attended these VBSY programs and it has been observed that it will have definitely an impact on ground. One of the program’s venue was a local school and the lyrics of the song was themed on school surroundings, atmosphere and cultural bonding. It was delighted to see the children have enthusiastic to represent their neighborhood in a colourful & efficient manner though in a cold conditions. The live on-spot success story is a major boost to the people living in rural & urban areas of a village, town or a city. The participation of District Administration including District Magistrate, Additional DC, higher ups and Secretary level dignities played a pivotal role in the successful implementation. The cultural programs, progress report and planning are important components of the every particular panchayat or gram saba. The name “Yatra” & “Sanklp” reflects the importance of the mission.
Yartra include an automated Information, Education & Communication IEC vans with an installation of LED screen broadcasting the progress of each unit wise success plan, implementation, and outcome in order to telecast it in front of the entire population of a particular area. It is in place to mention here that VBSY aims to cover 2.7 lakh gram panchayats and more than 4000 urban local body locations throughout the country. In order to encourage, guide & develop a constructive mind set among the people the “yatra” focus on a developed country within few years benefiting the people by government schemes & initiatives to cover all small point of administration like gram saba etc. The “sankalp” determination to provide basic facilities, welfare schemes, healthcare, essential financial services, access to LPG cylinders, housing for all, proper nutrition, clean drinking water and other schemes to general public.
