These days, the situation between Pakistan and India is becoming more serious. Both countries have sent their armies and modern weapons to the Line of Control (LOC). Soldiers are standing face to face, and fighter jets are flying close to the border. On both sides, leaders and media are giving strong statements. India is giving threats to Pakistan, and Pakistan is replying with the same energy. It feels like a war can start at any moment. In the past few days, there has been firing from both sides at different times on the LOC. Military exercises with tanks, missiles, and warplanes are happening very near to the border areas. Not only the armies, but the public on both sides also seems very emotional. People are making videos, shouting slogans, and even threatening each other on social media. Everyone looks ready for a war without even understanding what a war really means.
The worrying thing is that most people in both countries do not understand the seriousness of war. They think war is a game or some kind of action movie where they will enjoy watching fighter jets and bombs. But the reality of war is full of pain, death, and destruction. If we look at both countries, the armies are ready, weapons are ready, and all military things are in position. But have the governments of both countries made any plans to protect their people if a real war starts? That is the most important question.
What will happen if there is a missile war or even an atomic war? Has any government told its people what to do in such a case? Are there any safety plans? Are there underground shelters or safe places where common people can hide and stay safe? Has anyone built a single safe bunker for the public in case of an emergency? Are there food and medical camps ready for the public in war-affected areas? Has anyone thought about how poor people will get medicine, food, or shelter during war days? Sadly, the answer is no. Governments are only thinking about weapons and attacks, but not about saving lives.
They say that people get the kind of leaders they deserve. If our governments are not doing anything to protect us, the public is also not taking any steps for self-protection. Most people are busy making memes, funny videos, and jokes about war. Some are fighting on Twitter or Facebook, showing fake pride, while not even keeping a first aid box in their homes. Nobody is talking about real safety. People are so careless that they don’t even know what to do if a war starts and missiles begin to fall. It seems that everyone is just waiting to watch the news or post something online, but no one is seriously preparing for anything.
This is not like the old times when people could run to nearby villages or forests to save their lives. Today’s wars are fought with deadly missiles, drones, and even nuclear bombs. If a big war starts, millions of people can die within minutes. Cities can be destroyed, and hospitals, schools, and homes can turn into ashes. And the sad part is that there will be no place to run or hide. In such a situation,.
Instead of preparing the public for safety, both countries are only spending money on weapons. But what is the use of those weapons if your own people are dying without food or shelter? Common people are not soldiers. They do not have guns or bunkers. They are children, women, and old people who just want to live in peace. It is the duty of every government to protect them first.
The public also needs to become more responsible. It is not the job of the army or government alone. People should keep emergency items in their homes. Every house should have a first aid kit, some extra food, water, batteries, and important documents ready. Parents should tell children what to do in case of an attack. Local areas should have community plans. But sadly, no one is talking about these things. We are living in a time when a small mistake or small fight can turn into a big war. And in such a war, both countries will lose badly. But if war becomes unavoidable, then at least people should know what to do, where to go, and how to save themselves and their families. War should be the last option, not the first step.
The main point is that both governments and both nations need to become serious. Emotions and anger will not save lives. Only planning, safety, and awareness can protect us. If we keep ignoring this and keep thinking war is a joke, then one day we will cry, but it will be too late. This is the time to wake up, not just to prepare for attack but also to prepare for protection. Because when war starts, no meme, no video, and no slogan will help. Only preparation and planning can save lives.
