Main activity on Feb 03; MeT says UT receives normal rainfall during Chila-i-Kalan

The weatherman here has predicted a three-day wet spell across Jammu and Kashmir till February 04, saying that the main activity will be on Thursday (February 03).

As per the news agency, officials in the Meteorological department (MeT) said that there is possibility of light to moderate rains or snow across Jammu and Kashmir from February 02.

The officials said that the weather conditions would remain mostly cloudy during the next three days, adding that light rains or snow would also occur across Jammu and Kashmir during these days.

However, the MeT officials said that there is a possibility of light rains or snow at scattered places during February 06-07.

The overall weather conditions would likely remain erratic with the possibility of occasional light snowfall at scattered places till February 08.

Deputy Director MeT, Mukhtar Ahmad said that during the 40-day harshest period, Chila-i-Kalan, J&K received normal rain and snowfall.

Pertinently, Chila-i-Khurd, the 20-day cold winter period has begun in Kashmir. ( KNO )
