Department of Wildlife on Saturday successfully captured a ‘man-eater’ leopard at Zamboor Pattan in Uri of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The leopard is suspected to be the same that mauled a four-year-old girl to death some ten days before in Zamboor Pattan, even as making abortive bids on few other locals.

Following the incident involving the death of the minor girl, the Department of Wildlife, as per GNS, had been on vigil even as having installed two cages, which yielded results as the suspected leopard was found trapped in one of the cages’ this morning.

The locals have heaved a sigh of relief and hailed the wildlife officials for their efforts to capture the ferocious beast. (GNS)
