The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced the schedule for winter vacations in all Government Degree Colleges across the Union Territory.

According to an order issued by the Higher Education Department, Government Degree Colleges located in the Winter Zone of both Kashmir and Jammu divisions will remain closed from December 24, 2025, to February 14, 2026.
Meanwhile, Government Degree Colleges in the Jammu Division falling under the Summer Zone will observe winter vacations from January 1, 2026, to January 10, 2026.
The order has been issued in the interest of administration and will apply to all Government Degree Colleges in the respective zones. The decision has been approved by the competent authority.(KNS)
