Srinagar, Nov 30 : With dip in the temperature in J&K, the dengue cases in J&K are on decline and just 12 fresh cases were reported on Tuesday in the UT.
As per the data available with news agency—8,085 dengue cases including 17 from other states and 14 from Kashmir division have been reported so far in J&K UT
A top health official told KNO, that around 2,9844 tests have been conducted so far and 8,085 have been tested positive.
Of 8,085 cases around 85 percent cases are from Jammu district only where seven cases were reported on Tuesday and so far 5,448 cases have been reported in the district alone.
They added that cases include 328 from Samba, 162 from Kathua, 817 from Udhampur, 117 from Reasi, 105 from Rajouri, 39 from Poonch, 237 from Doda, 50 from Ramban, 27 from Kishtwar and 14 from Kashmir besides that 17 from other states.
As per data, cases reported in the ongoing month include 39 on 23rd November, 35 on 24, 42 on 25, 27 on November 26, 22 on 27 November, 11 on 28 November and 12 on 29 November.
According to official data, the highest number of cases 1,837 was reported in 2013 but this year has surpassed it.
Officials said that with dengue which started in monsoon, reached peak in October and with considerable dip in temperature, the cases are on decline.
They requested people not to lower the guard and continue to take precautions.
