World Mental Health Day observed at Budgam

Budgam October 10 :  World Mental Health Day was Observed at ANMT School Khanpora Budgam with the theme “Make Mental Health and Well being for all a top Priority” by District Mental Health Unit ASYM DH Budgam.
In order to raise awareness of mental health concerns 10th of October is celebrated every year around the globe.
The day gives mental health experts a chance to talk about their work and come up with solutions for making sure that mental health care is available to everyone said Medical Superintendent DH Budgam Dr M Ayoub .
District Health Officer Dr Lahoot while addressing the audience said, Mental Health experts are unsung Heroes of the soil .   Mental health issues are increasing day by day  and we as the health experts must help every patient with positive approach to make them ensure ,someone is there for their care. Said Dr Insha Rouf Psychiatrist DH Budgam and gave a detailed lecture on the treatment and identification of common mental health disorders at the primary healthcare level and the indications for specialist refferal.  Dr tawseef talked about the role of religion in preventing development of certain mental health disorders.  Mr Aijaz Ul Ahad highlighted the role of psychotherapies in treatment of common mental health disorders. The event was organised by Mr Faisal, program officer DMHP, Dr Latief, MO DMHP, Ms Aabroo Mushtaq and Ms Mutina Rashid.
The event was attended by medicel officers and MLHPs from different blocks of the district. 
At the end of an Event pledge was taken by all the  Mental health Team that we will work together to identify and help Mental Health related patients.
