Srinagar, Aug 31: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the slapping of yet another public safety act on Ailing Dukhtaran Millat chairperson Mtr Syeda Asiya Andrabi and her associate Fehmida Sofi who after being slapped with PSA have been again shifted to Jammu jail today. Terming this act as highly undemocratic and unethical, JKLF chairman said that an ailing lady whose PSA was quashed by court recently and was shifted to chest decease hospital for treatment, was eventually dragged out of hospital and shifted to Jammu jail by police which is highly condemnable. He said that this is a glaring example of political vendetta and police highhandedness and this act clearly shows the moral and political bankruptcy of present ruling regime.
He said that an ailing lady is being targeted and tortured only for her political belief and rulers who propagate “battle of ideas’’ and ‘’Goli Nahin Boli’’ (talks not bullets) theory have unleashed worst kind of oppression against people of Kashmir and choked every little space of peaceful political activities. It has been a common practice of occupational forces to arrest and stop political activities but the way people are being jailed under black laws actually shows that ruling regime only knows to suppress peaceful voices by military might.
While condemning the prolonged incarceration of JKLF district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), Hilal Ahmad Malik of Trehgam Kupwara, Atif Hassan and Irfan Khan of Islamabad, Muhammad Yousuf Bahagwan of Sopore and thousands of others who are languishing in different jails and police stations of Jammu Kashmir and India, JKLF chairman said that tyranny and oppression has its limits and according to the law of retribution ,tyrants and oppressors will surely have to answer for their crimes against humanity.
