Young Dramatists Society Stages Acclaimed Theatre Play in Srinagar
Srinagar, 7th September 2024 – The Young Dramatists Society of Srinagar successfully staged theatre play , “RANDUK” at 3.PM to 5.PM, an impressive theatrical performance today at the prestigious Tagore Hall Srinagar, marking a significant achievement in the region’s cultural calendar. The event, which took place under the aegis of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, showcased the creative prowess of young local talents.
The play, “RANDUK” written by Dr. Sohan Lal Koul and Directed by Altaf Hussain,


which drew a large audience, was lauded for its compelling narrative and high-quality production.
It is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Young Dramatists Society, which
continues to be a beacon for theatrical arts in Kashmir. The event not only highlighted the rich
cultural heritage of the region but also emphasized the role of youth ni preserving and promoting the arts.
In attendance were several notable figures from the local art community, as well as
representatives from hte Sangeet Natak Akademi J and K Academy of Art Culture and Languages, who praised the performance for its artistic excellence and the society’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of dramatists.
This event marks another milestone in the ongoing efforts to revitalize the cultural scene in
Srinagar, and hte Young Dramatists Society si poised ot continue its mission of fostering artistic expression and cultural dialogue in the region.
