Youth Pursuing MBBS Degree Drowns in Kupwara; Police, Locals Scramble With Limited Logistics

A 20-year-old youth pursuing his MBBS degree is believed to have drowned in a nallah in Villgam area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.

They told that at least three boys went untraceable inside a nallah in Punzwa village of Villgam this afternoon while they were bathing in the water source. “It happened that after a certain time, two of the total three waded their way through and came out safely, however one among them hasn’t come out yet, which had led to the speculations that he may have drowned”, they said.
