Unknown gunmen on Saturday fired at and wounded a youth in Turigam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, reports said.

Quoting a police officer,  that the suspected militants fired upon Waseem Ahmad son of Mohd Amin at Turigam this evening.

Ahmad suffered serious bullet wounds in his legs and was shifted to a nearby district hospital for treatment.

Soon after the incident, the officer said, the security forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants.
