10,000 J-K, Ladakh students apply for PM Scholarship in four days : AICTE

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) said that in four days around 10,000 students have taken admission in undergraduate courses outside Jammu and Kashmir for the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) for the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh

AICTE started online registration for Special Scholarship Scheme for Students of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh on 6th September. The last date to apply for the scholarship is 15 September.

As per the scheme, students who are studying online from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are provided Rs 20,000 per semester or Rs 40,000 per year.

Along with this, students who live in hostels with a maximum limit of Rs. 1,00,000 per annum, Rs 40,000 as well as Rs 10,000 for monthly expenses.

 “During the last eight years more than 20,000 students from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have benefited and completed their successful academic career at the graduation level. The students have either started a successful professional career or gone on to pursue higher studies in India or abroad,” the AICTE statement said.
