Pulwama Police arrested drug peddler, recovered 08 grams of brown sugar

Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs from the society, today a Police Party from Police Post Newa while on patrolling across Chakpora Newa area of Pulwama noticed a suspected person who was roaming in suspicious manner. The suspected person tried to flee from the spot after seeing Police party, but with strenuous efforts and with utmost professionalism the Police party nailed down the person and during search 8 grams of brown Sugar have been recovered from his possession. The accused person has been arrested and identified as 1. Saleem Ahmad Wani S/O Mohd  Sidiq R/O Gusoo Pulwama. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 115/2022 U/S 8/21 of NDPS Act stands registered in PS Pulwama and investigation has been taken up.
