Police Station Tangmarg received written complaint from Fayaz Ahmad Lone S/O Ab Majeed Lone R/O Maheen Tangmarg stating therein that during the intervening night of 2nd & 3rd May, 2022 his shop was ransacked by some unknown thieves and has taken away mobile phones/ mobile accessories, laptops worth lakhs and to the effect case FIR No. 37/2022 u/s 457, 380 IPC stands registered in Police Station Tangmarg.BARAMULLA POLICE SOLVED BURGLARY CASE WITHIN 24 HOURS; ACCUSED ARRESTED; STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED
During the course of investigation, a special investigation police team headed by SHO PS Tangmarg under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg was constituted, footages of CCTVs installed in main market were checked and after strenuous efforts a lead was generated from one of the checked footages and many suspects were called for questioning and finally during the process questioning one suspect namely Owais Ahmad Lone S/O Ab Rasheed R/O Ferozpora Tangmarg, District Baramulla confessed the commission of crime and on his disclosure all stolen property including mobile phones, mobile accessories, laptops were recovered from him.
General public of the area appreciated the action by Baramulla Police against the thieves.
