2 labourers killed inside army camp in south Kashmir’s Anantnag

A mysterious blast inside an army camp in Khundroo area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday killed two labourers and wounded two others, reports said.

Reports said that the blast took place inside the camp when the labourers were busy working there.

Those killed were identified as Fayaz Ahamad Bhat, son of Gh. Hassan Bhat, a resident of Pahloo Nowgam Shangus and Gulzar Ahamad Khan, son of  Mir Aalam Khan, a resident of Moodphal Utersoo.

Two injured, identified as Fida Hussain son of Syed Mohd of Gopalpora and Shabir Ahmad son of Mohd Anwar Khan of Gopalpora, were shifted to Govt Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for specialized treatment, they said.

There was no official word from the army or the police yet. However, reports quoting a police official said the cause and nature of the blast were being investigated.
