Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir — 2026: The International Film Festival of Kashmir (IFFK) proudly announces the call for entries for its much-anticipated 6th edition, scheduled to be held in 2026 in Srinagar. Recognized as one of the most significant cultural and cinematic platforms in the region, IFFK continues its legacy of celebrating global storytelling while amplifying the artistic voice of Kashmir.

Founded in 2006, the festival has steadily evolved into a prominent destination on the international film festival circuit. With a commitment to fostering cross-cultural dialogue through cinema, IFFK has consistently showcased compelling narratives from around the world. Its landmark 2014 edition remains a defining moment in its journey, having received over 1,000 film submissions from more than 70 countries, with 44 films screened and over 10 world premieres—a record-setting achievement in the region.

The upcoming 6th edition aims to build upon this rich legacy by inviting filmmakers, storytellers, and visual artists from across the globe to submit their works. The festival seeks to present a diverse and thought-provoking selection of films that reflect the evolving language of cinema—ranging from independent features and documentaries to experimental and short films.

This year’s edition will be organized by Hot Ice Films Kashmir in association with Seven 2 Creations Kashmir, bringing together a dynamic collaboration committed to elevating the cinematic landscape of the region. Together, the organizers aim to curate a festival experience that not only celebrates artistic excellence but also positions Kashmir as a vibrant hub for cultural exchange and creative expression.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Srinagar, IFFK offers filmmakers and audiences a unique convergence of art, nature, and heritage. The festival remains rooted in its founding vision—that cinema is a universal language capable of bridging divides and fostering deeper human understanding.

Submissions are now open, and selected films will be showcased during the festival screenings in 2026. Filmmakers are encouraged to participate in what promises to be a landmark edition, further strengthening Kashmir’s place on the global cinematic map.

For submission guidelines, deadlines, and additional details, participants are invited to contact the festival organizers.
