8 injured in Tempo-Truck collision near Sonamarg

Ganderbal, August 17: At least eight people were injured on Saturday after a Tempo passenger vehicle collided with a truck on the Srinagar-Sonamarg road in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Police said the accident occurred near Kullan area when the Tempo, carrying passengers towards Sonamarg, rammed into a truck coming from the opposite direction. Locals and rescue teams immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

While the condition of most of the injured is said to be stable, authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
