ADDC Gbl distributes Chaff cutters among beneficiariesGANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 10: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Pir Muzafar Ahmad today distributed power driven chaff cutters among 13 eligible beneficiaries of the district.The distribution was held during a program organized by District Sheep Husbandry Officer Ganderbal here in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.Power driven Chaff cutters were provided to the beneficiaries on subsidy upto 50%percent of the cost of Chaff cutter or Rs. 10,000/- whichever is less would be provided by the department under National Live Stock Mission.Interacting with the beneficiaries, the ADDC highlighted the importance of chaff cutters for minimizing fodder wastage thereby contributing one of the steps towards doubling farmers’ income. He also urged them to take benefit of other schemes currently in vogue which are launched with the purpose to improve their socio-economic condition.District Sheep Husbandry Officer informed that Rs. 3.20 lacs have been allotted to the district under the said scheme which would be distributed among 32 beneficiaries, out of which Rs 1.30 lacs were utilized today.
