DC Kupwara reviews arrangements for Lolab FestivalKUPWARA, NOVEMBER 10: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements ahead of celebration of Lolab Festival.The meeting held threadbare discussion regarding various arrangements by different departments for smooth conduct of the Lolab festival.It was informed in the meeting that the aim of conducting the Lolab festival is to exploit the tourism potential of the unexplored valley which is bestowed with scenic beauty.It was given out in the meeting that the concerned departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Handicrafts, Floriculture department will install their stalls showcasing local products. The Education and Youth Services & Sports department shall conduct cultural programmes and marathons respectively at the venue. Various other departments were also given tasks according to their domain.On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to ensure fool proof arrangements for grand success of the Lolab festival. He directed them to ensure close coordination with SDM Lolab for making arrangements.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ghulam Nabi Bhat; SDM Lolab, Aijaz Ahmad, CHO, AD Planning, ARTO, YS&SO and other concerned attended the meeting.
