Ahead of Home Minister’s visit to Baramulla, Traffic Police Kashmir issues advisory

Authorities on Monday issued a Traffic Advisory on the scheduled visit of the Home Minister to Baramulla where he will address a public rally on October 5th, 2022. 

“In view of public rally at Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla on 5th of October-2022, motorists who are intending to travel from Srinagar to Baramulla, Uri and vice-versa are advised to adopt designated routes to reach their destinations on said date,” reads an advisory issued by Traffic Police Office Rural Kashmir.

It further said that the vehicles plying from Srinagar to Baramulla and Uri shall opt for Srinagar – Pattan – Sangrama – Sopore – Fruit Mandi – Ladoora – Azad gunj – Khanpora bridge – Uri route while as vehicles plying from Uri- Baramulla to Srinagar shall opt for Uri -Khanpora Bridge – Azadgunj – Ladoora- Fruit Mandi- Sopore- Sangrama – Pattan – Srinagar route. 

Meanwhile, heightened vigil and round-the-clock patrolling is being carried out by joint teams of security forces in and around Baramulla. Shah is scheduled to address a mega rally at Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla. As per officials more than 30,000 people are supposed to attend the rally.
