COAS reviews Operation Drishti cataract surgery camp at Tangdhar, takes stock of welfare concerns
Karnah, Sept 25 : Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth on Friday visited Karnah in Kupwara district and interacted with ex-servicemen and veterans in the forward area.
During the visit, as per news agency , the Army Chief reviewed the ongoing Operation Drishti Mega Cataract Surgery Camp at the Forward Surgical Centre (FSC), Tangdhar.
Gen Seth also interacted with veterans and ex-servicemen and took note of their welfare and healthcare-related concerns during his visit to the forward area.
The seven-day initiative is being conducted under the aegis of Chinar Corps in coordination with the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), with the aim of providing advanced ophthalmic care to civilians and veterans residing in remote border areas.
The camp has identified around 400 patients for cataract surgery through screening camps and is part of the Indian Army’s healthcare outreach under Operation Sadbhavana.
