Traffic restrictions announced across key Srinagar routes from 6 AM to 9 AM for the cycling event
Srinagar, Sept 25 : Traffic Police Srinagar has issued an advisory for the smooth conduct of the Cycle Race-2026 “Pedal Through Paradise”, scheduled to be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
According to the advisory, the road will remain closed for general traffic from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Sunday along the Boulevard Road from Lalit Ghat to Harwan via Shalimar and from Lalit Ghat to Pandach via Zakura.
Traffic movement on the Boulevard Road from Lalit Ghat towards Harwan via Shalimar and from Lalit Ghat towards Pandach Crossing via Zakura will be discouraged during the event.
Motorists coming from Harwan/New Theed have been advised to take the Burzahama–Chandpora–Tailbal–Zakoora–Malbagh–Illahibagh–90 Feet Road route and vice versa.
Motorists travelling from Ganderbal/Nagbal towards Lal Chowk have been advised to use the 90 Feet Soura Road and vice versa.
No traffic will be allowed from R.M. Bagh Crossing towards Lalit, except participants.
Traffic Police has also advised people to avoid unnecessary movement on the Boulevard Road from Lalit Ghat to Harwan via Shalimar and Lalit Ghat to Pandach via Zakura between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
No traffic will be allowed from Badyari towards Lalit Crossing, while traffic from Dalgate to Nishat via Badyari–Rainawari onwards will also remain restricted. Similarly, traffic from Nishat to Lal Chowk via Brien Police Station Crossing will not be allowed.
However, medical emergencies and motorists travelling towards Srinagar Airport will be allowed to move via the Foreshore–Dargah–Khanyar Road.
Traffic Police has designated Golf Course, Barista, Zabarwan Park and Nehru Park up to Lalit Crossing as parking areas.
