Hyderabad, June 6: Eminent Kashmiri writer, poet and literary figure Ayaz Rasool Nazki was conferred the prestigious Rabindranath Tagore Award at a ceremony held in Hyderabad.
Unable to attend the event personally, Nazki had requested young and talented Odia poet Satyananda Sarangi, who was also among this year’s awardees, to receive the honour on his behalf. The award was presented by Gopakumar Radhakrishnan, the driving force behind the award.
Expressing gratitude, Ayaz Rasool Nazki thanked Satyananda Sarangi for representing him at the ceremony and conveyed his sincere appreciation to Gopakumar Radhakrishnan for the recognition and his continued support of literature and the arts.
The Rabindranath Tagore Award is regarded as a significant recognition for contributions to literature and cultural enrichment.
