SRINAGAR 22 Jun : A man injured in the recent road accident near Baba Reshi Morh in the Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has succumbed to his injuries, becoming the first fatality linked to the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Ghulam Mohiuddin Ganai (50), a resident of Danas village in Beerwah, Budgam. He was among the seven occupants injured when a Tavera vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge near Baba Reshi Morh on June 20.

All the injured were initially shifted to Sub-District Hospital Tangmarg before being referred to higher medical facilities for specialised treatment.

Officials had earlier confirmed that the Tavera vehicle, bearing registration number JK02AG-3981, veered off the road before plunging into the gorge.
