Biker killed, pillion rider wounded in Kulgam mishap

A biker died while his pillion rider was injured after the motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident at Nehama area of Damhal Hanjipora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday afternoon. A police officer told news agency that the biker died while his pillion rider suffered serious injuries after the bike (DL5SAP-2079) they were travelling on collided with a Santro vehicle at Nehama—DH Pora road.

The officer identified the deceased as Suhail Ahmad Naik (24), son of Mohammad Skinder Naik of Khud Hanjipora while as the injured Khalid Amin Najar (22), son of Mohammad Amin Najar of Asnoor was taken to SMHS, Srinagar in critical condition. “A case under relevant sections of law was registered and further investigations were taken up,” the officer said—(KNO)
