  • Some Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leaders including Uma Bharti and Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Kirit Solanki have questioned the Yogi Adityanath government’s handling of the Hathras case.Senior BJP leader Uma Bharti said on Friday that the “suspicious” action of UP police in the Hathras incident has “dented” the image of the BJP, the state government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and requested him to allow mediapersons and politicians to meet the victim’s family.Meanwhile, BJP MP Kirit Solanki said that UP Police needed to be “more sensitive and responsible” as their actions triggered anger among people following the cremation of the Hathras Dalit woman in dead of night, said on Thursday. Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti also said victims body should have been given to the family.Watch report. ( India today )
