Day temperatures continued to improve in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, while night temperatures remained below the freezing point in the valley.
“Monday’s maximum was 14.1 in Srinagar and 21.2 in Jammu. It is likely to be bright and sunny till Thursday. The day temperatures may improve further,” the Met said.
The minimum temperature was minus 3.5 in Srinagar, while it was 6.5 in Jammu on Tuesday.
At minus 15, Kargil recorded the lowest minimum in the state, while Leh recorded a minus 8.5 degrees Celsius.
Gulmarg at minus 7.6 was the coldest in the Kashmir Valley, while Pahalgam was at minus 4.7.
Katra recorded 6.8, Batote 3.7, Bannihal minus 0.3, Bhaderwah 1.9 and Udhampur was at three 3 degrees Celsius. ( IANS )
