A civillian was injured in a fresh ceasefire violation across the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar sector of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

According to reports, the injured person has been identified as Muhammad Rafiq (52), son of Alla Ditta, resident of Gohlad Mendhar.

Officials said that he has suffered a bullet injury in his thigh and has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Block Medical Officer Mendhar, Dr. Parvez Khan said the civilian was evacuated soon after receiving the information of the incident and is undergoing treatment.
