Srinagar – Jammu highway remains closed for third consecutive day

Srinagar, Mar 14 2020

Srinagar Jammu National highway on Saturday remained closed for traffic movement for third consecutive day leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded on the highway.

Reports reaching said that the road got blocked due landslide and shooting stones on Thursday and remained closed for the traffic on.

A traffic official told that the men and machinery has been pressed to clear the road hopefully it will be cleared soon and no traffic will be allowed till the road will not get clear, he further said that stranded vehicles will be cleared first.

The officer further appealed the people not to start their journey from the either side of the road before knowing the status of the road from the nearby traffic control units. The road got blocked several times in month of March.
