Security forces launch search operations in three south Kashmir districts

Srinagar March 14, 2020

Security forces launched Cordon and Search Operations (CASO) in three villages of south Kashmir’s Anantnag, Kulgam and Tral districts on Saturday.

The operations were launched today morning in Semthan area of Bijbehara in Anantnag, Nowpora Friday in Kulgam and Sofigund Tral in Pulwama district, reports said.

An official said that the operations were launched following inputs about the presence of militants.

Local witnesses said that security forces compromising police, CRPF and army soldiers have been deployed in strength in these areas.

So far there has been no report of any contact with the militants.
