Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday has expressed deep sorrow on the passing of Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Senior Journalist and Jammu & Kashmir Bureau Head of The Week magazine, who passed away following a cardiac arrest.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Recalling Bhat’s remarkable contribution to journalism, the Chief Minister said his work and commitment to truthful reporting in Jammu and Kashmir will always be remembered and serve as an inspiration for future generations of journalists.
