Srinagar, April 9: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday distributed compassionate appointment orders to 90 beneficiaries from across the Kashmir division, providing much-needed relief to families who have lost their primary breadwinners in government service.

At a formal ceremony, the Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to the selected candidates, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supporting bereaved families through timely assistance and employment opportunities.

He stated that compassionate appointments are a crucial welfare measure aimed at ensuring financial stability and dignity for affected families, and reiterated that the process would be made more transparent and efficient.

Officials present on the occasion highlighted that the initiative reflects the administration’s focus on humanitarian governance and responsive public service delivery.
