Hundreds of college girls on Tuesday staged protest in Jammu after they were denied entry into the premises for not following the institute’s dress code.
Reports said that some girls of Government College for Women were denied entry for wearing T-shirts and denims and other for not being in a “proper dress” as mentioned in college rules.
They said that as per college norms, the girls have to be in complete dress code which is white ‘salwar’, ‘kameez’ and ‘dupatta’ and only barring married girls.
The protesting girls raised slogans against the college authorities and blocked the road.
