Srinagar, November 7, 2025: The 5th edition of the Kashmir World Film Festival (KWFF) concluded today with a vibrant closing ceremony and award presentation held in Srinagar, marking the grand finale of a week-long celebration of world cinema.

The seven-day festival brought together filmmakers, artists, and cinema enthusiasts from across the globe, showcasing diverse films that celebrated creativity, storytelling, and cross-cultural exchange.
Prominent political activist Ms. Safina Beig graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, lending prestige and encouragement to the festival’s mission of promoting independent cinema. Distinguished personalities including Reena Choudhary (politician and entrepreneur) and Lalit Parimoo (renowned Bollywood actor) attended as Guests of Honor, adding further significance to the event.

The final day featured screenings of notable films such as ‘In a Framework’, ‘43’, ‘Matric Pass’, ‘Parenting Special Needs Children: Cerebral Palsy’, and ‘Shushur – The Frozen Times’, each applauded for their compelling narratives and artistic depth.
The award ceremony, held in the afternoon, honored filmmakers across multiple categories—Short Films, Documentaries, Animation, and Feature Films—recognizing both emerging and established talents who have contributed to the growth of cinema in Kashmir and beyond.
