Congress distributes PPE kits, essentials among poor on Rahul Gandhi’s birth day

Srinagar District Congress Committee (DCC) today distributed PPE kits and essentials among the poor residents of Bemina Srinagar to celebrate the Birth Day of Rahul Gandhi and vowed to continue to work for the wellbeing of the people.

Srinagar District Congress Committee led by its President Abdul Gani Khan organized an extraordinary function in Bemina locality of Srinagar District today while strictly following the SOPs and distributed PPE kits, essentials among the poor residents.

The function was organized to celebrate the Birth Day of Rahul Gandhi.

Those who were present on this occasion included Senior Leader Nissar Ahmad Mundo, SMC Corporator Shameema Khan, Dr. Fayaz, Muzaffar Ahmad and various other Party workers.

Similar function was organized at Sempura Pantha Chowk, where Senior Congress Leader Abid Ahmad Bhat (Kashmir) distributed essentials among the poor and needy people of the area.

The party leaders vowed to work for the wellbeing of the poor and downtrodden sections of the society, who were impacted badly due to the pandemic COVID-19.

Taking the opportunity of the function, DCC Srinagar urged the Government to reach out to poor and needy, who were not even able to live hand to mouth and ensure appropriate compensation to them, besides taking effective measures to compensate Transports, Labourers and other poor classes of the society, whose families were full dependent on their daily earnings, but were unable to earn due to the lockdown, they said.

“They best way to celebrate the birth day of our leader was to reach to poor and needy and help, who have become victims of the crisis,” they added.
