Jammu, Nov 25 (KP) : A constable of Jammu and Kashmir police died on duty after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Manda area of Jammu district on Thursday, officials said.
An official told news agency Kashmir Pen that a police constable identified as Queem Ali, (32) son of Qasim Din, a resident of Rangora, Majeen, posted at Police Station Pacca Danga, was hit by an unknown vehicle during the wee hours near Manda check post while he was on duty.

He said that the constable died on the spot.
Meanwhile, a police official said that a case has been registered in this regard and a massive manhunt has been launched to apprehend the absconding driver of the vehicle.
